Artist Statement
At the intersection of art, design, and research, my work draws deep inspiration from the natural world, astrophysics, biology, and ancient cultural knowledge systems centered on self-work and self-liberation. These philosophies guide my creative process, allowing me to explore the interconnectedness of all things and inviting viewers to reflect and find wonder in that harmony.
Cultural roots are a constant wellspring of inspiration in my practice. I strive to craft immersive, sensory experiences that honor ancient philosophies while reimagining them for modern audiences. My work also reflects a strong concern for the planet’s health, often incorporating sustainable materials to create sculptures that evoke the healing power of nature. At the core of my practice is an intuitive and tactile engagement with materials, where each creation emerges organically. This hands-on process, akin to meditation, guides my creative flow, allowing ideas to take form through a deliberate connection to materials like clay, wood, textiles, and digital work. By working this way, I aim to evoke joy, curiosity, and transformation in those who encounter my work.
My diverse background in fashion design, visual arts, and research equips me with a wide-ranging perspective on aesthetics and storytelling. Having studied handicrafts and the history of fashion and culture, I blend traditional techniques with contemporary narratives, continuously experimenting with form and medium—from ceramics and sculpture to immersive installations.
Through thoughtful craftsmanship and collaboration, I seek to foster meaningful connections, cultivating moments of awe and reflection. I remain open to collaborations and commissions that explore new ways of engaging with our shared environment and cultural heritage.
